Yoga Works

Scientific evidence is mounting daily for what many have long sensed: that practices like mindfulness, meditation, and yoga can help us address certain intractable individual and societal problems . . . And, perhaps more importantly for our global health, for kids dealing with extreme stressors, traumas and abuse, putting these practices into schools could be the difference between failure and success.

What people are saying…

“My 4 year old and I love doing virtual yoga with Niki! She is so fun and engaging, I was surprised at how well she kept my son focused. He does spontaneous yoga poses all over the house now!” - T. N. from Michigan

“Niki invited our virtual team for a group yoga session to help us connect while we were all required to stay home. There were adults and kids of all ages, and a fantastic time was had by all! We giggled, we learned and we connected! Nikki has a gentle way of keeping kids focused and made us all feel like we were right there together. ❤️❤️❤️” - C. S. from Texas

“Niki came and did a session with the kids at our church. The ages ranged from 3-9 — and every child remained SO engaged in breathing and moving! Niki creates such a safe space for kids to explore their worlds and the ways their bodies move. She exceeded every expectation, and we can’t recommend her enough!” - E. K. from Spokane

“I attended a virtual yoga session with Niki, and she was amazing! She was able to make the attendees feel connected and relaxed during such a challenging and socially distant time. I enjoyed the meeting so much that I coordinated several other meetings with Niki for local au pairs to feel connected. They are all far away from home during this time, and I received only positive feedback about the yoga experience. I highly recommend Niki and Anchored Heart Kids Yoga!” - R. A. from New York

“I came to hear about Niki and Anchored Heart Kids Yoga through a group Facebook page for the Compassion Camp Vacation Bible School community. One of the activities for VBS was movement, specifically breathing and yoga poses. Knowing this was not my area of expertise, I set about looking to use one of the videos shared by another church. There were many good ones, but when I came across a video showing Niki leading a yoga session, I knew I had found the person to lead our kiddos. I even showed the video during one of our committee meetings and Niki's energy and enthusiasm had us all engaged and following along at our meeting! Niki ended up sharing five different virtual yoga sessions with our kids and the feedback I got from families was amazing! Even from Wisconsin, we have been blessed by Niki’s gift of helping children connect to their minds and bodies. Thank you, Niki!!” - H. V. from Wisconsin
